Rogue© Clothier and Cyclery commissioned 54blue to bring a bike boutique with an urban feel to the growing community of everyday cyclists in Calgary, Alberta. Working from the ground up to mix fashion and function, 54blue covered everything between cementing the brands look and feel to designing the consumer in store experience.
Starting with an overlook of the entire space, 54blue used 3d design technology to plan out a retail environment that mixed various textiles and print materials to build a cohesive in-store look. Materials like matte fabric and rich brown leather covered the walls and some furnishings. Exposed dark wood was placed in contrast to high polish gold, glass and laminate for a mix of heritage and modern. Running along the majority of the upper perimeter storage shelving was mounted so back stock product could be kept at arms length without infringing on the boutique feel.
No detail was spared from the open beam ceiling to the waxed cement floors. Everything done with purpose. The store is a breakthrough retail space for a new niche market in Calgary; a stress-free zone for the latest in commuter bike accessories. Take a look at rogueslife.com
