Fabrication

So you paid us to come up with an amazing concept or design, and now we have to hand it over to somebody random? Well that doesn’t sound like 54blue does it? We've gone vertical because we hate losing control.
Our fabrication department exists to supervise all aspects of your project and to ensure it meets our high standards of quality. From the small one off project to the full space build we have it covered.

Lets build it, or die trying…

The Process

The fruits of our labor manifest themselves in many forms but mostly dust. From the concept to the final product we aim to please. All fabrication projects large and small get run through the same calculated process every time. The first 5 steps are crucial and have to be completed in order to reach the desired goal. Before we start the next job we pull apart the project in the Post-mortem. We identify the holes and issues and learn utilizing this 360 approach.

The Shop

COMPUTER NUMERICAL CONTROL

The future is now. Jet packs, flying cars, and computer controlled robots to do our biding. Our AXYZ CNC router is the cornerstone of 54blue fabrication. The innovative gantry design is built to handle a full complement of machine tools. Spinning at 20k RPM it cuts items directly out of our imagination. Almost any material can be manhandled by this machine. Let's get cutting.

WOOD-WORKING 101

We have it all in the shop. Giant computer-controlled saws to old school drill presses. We can cut and shape material into anything. Once that is done it can be finished to glossy perfection in our side draft paint booth. Our experts come in and install the final product into the chosen environment using high-tech tools… like a screwdriver or two.

MATERIALS

Identifying the best material for the job is a huge part of the process. It is our mandate to find the perfect finish for the materials used so that they last and they are good to our environment. We strive to maximize materials and reduce waste in every project. Please remember, in most cases, expensive material is usually the best material. You get what you pay for… in life and in construction.
